We've had a restock of Elizabeth Hartman patterns! Fred's been ordering and uploading them as fast as he can!

We are aiming to stock all the available Elizabeth Hartman patterns, so let us knokw if you think we've missed one!

My Sewing Retreats are fully booked, but there are two on the website just waiting for prices to be finalised and then booking will open.

I do have a cancellations list for Retreats showing as full, please contact me at oakapplehabby@outlook.com to join the waiting lists.

My retreats are very laid back, with an emphasis on sewing exactly what you want in the company of like minded people.

The venues are n North Yorkshire, Derbyshire and a new mystery location (discovered by Fred) which will be revealed once we've checked it out.

Accomodation is individual, en-suite rooms and full board.

Who's Behind Oakapple Haberdashery? About me

I'm Ellie, owner of Oakapple Haberdashery. You can find me at The St Hilda’s Business Centre, Whitby YO22 4ET, a studio rather than a shop, so there are not regular opening hours, but if you're passing just pop in and ask the receptionist if I'm in. There’s free parking for customers. I can also arrange to be in at certain times if you email me.

Fred has joined Oakapple, a recent Marketing graduate, he'll be working on the website and emails. Don't forget to sign up to the loyalty scheme that Fred set up - you can earn money off coupons! Just click the rewards star on the bottom left corner of the home page.

  • Fabric Pricing

    Fabric is priced by the fat quarter, but always be sent in one length, so just add up the fat quarters for the total you would like. All fabric is 100% cotton.

    It's done this way because the majority of my customers are quilters and crafters and like to be able to purchase smaller amounts.

  • Visit my studio

    You're very welcome to pop in! I don't keep regular shop hours because I'm often away at Quilt Shows, so please check before making a special visit.

    There is free customer parking.

  • Sustainability

    I'm working towards being a sustainable company, so I use cardboard packaging as much as possible, and I reuse packaging when I can, e.g. bubble wrap or packing peanuts - look out for my labels!

    I do occaisionally use plastic mailing bags, I have found some that can be recycled.
