Are you new to patchwork/quilting, or not very confident? This weekend is for you!
A very relaxed time to sew, there are no specific workshops, but I will be there to help as needed, and I'll have a variety of beginner friendly starter patterns for you to use.
There will be a pop-up shop if you don't have the things you need, and there is an option to borrow a sewing machine for the weekend.
Everyone is welcome at this weekend, you don't have to be a beginner, but I really want beginner quilters or sewists to be happy coming to the retreat.
Secure your place at my relaxing Friday to Sunday sewing retreat at Cober Hill in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
Cober Hill was set up by the Rowntree Family of York as a holiday retreat for the workers. The building is in the Art & Crafts style and has beautiful well maintained gardens and sea views.
This holiday runs from Friday 2nd April 2027 , arrive anytime from 11am, lunch is provided
Two nights stay, depart Sunday 4th after lunch.
What's included:
- Full board accommodation - all meals and snacks included
- Use of the sewing room with your own workspace for the duration of the retreat
- Cutting and ironing/pressing equipment provided for you to use
- A lounge to relax for quiet time to read or have a sneaky power nap!
- Car parking
- Bring your own sewing project
- Work at your own pace - do as much or as little as you like
- No tutors, just a relaxed, supportive atmosphere
- Ellie will be your contact and will be there throughout the retreat
- 25% Discount from any purchases made at the Oakapple pop-up shop
This £100 deposit secures your booking. The total retreat cost is approximately £300
Deposit is refundable ay any point if the retreat does not go ahead due to myself, and is refundable up to 31st December 2026 otherwise.
